First, a little background. I have been training Miss Collierville for the last couple of years. Last year I was privileged to train Mandy Wolf (Miss Collierville 2010) who I ran into this year at the pageant and is just a pleasure to be around...sorry got a little side-tracked.
Every year Ed Coleman (the Miss Collierville director) gives me a new girl to train for the Miss Tennessee Pageant. This year Erin Hatley won the Miss Collierville pageant and was my new challenge.

Over the course of the last 4 months, countless hours of training we made it to the Miss Tennessee finals. Erin, as I have found with most pageant girls, is a lot more than just a pretty face. She was a joy to train and really a pleasure to get to know. I had a blast putting her through torturous workouts and pushing her to the limit. Not once did she quit, show up late, or ask me if this was really going to help her out in the long run. The girl is tough as nails!
But any way back to what I was saying to begin with.

Erin wowed the crowd in swimsuit, and evening gown then stole the show with her singing voice. Saturday night she took the stage, all smiles and was named Miss Tennessee 2011.
What a great feeling it was to watch her win the whole thing after working so hard over the last 4 months. Not to mention it felt good seeing the proof that I really do know what I am talking about when it comes to fitness. It all comes down to hard work-ethic and a willingness to be put through a little hell to get amazing results just like Erin.

Congratulations Erin! I'm proud of you. Now go take the state by storm!
