Carbs...are they bad?

Yes and No. Carbs in themselves are not bad for you. You need carbs in everyday life. Carbs is what gives your body the energy to work your 9 to 5 or play baseball with the kids or take that early morning jog. It would be just about impossible for you to live your life without carbs.

With that being said not all carbs are created equal. You have simple and complex carbs. Simple carbs are easily digested for energy. Some examples are fruit, candy and soda. Complex carbs are not as easily digested. Some examples would be breads, pasta and potatos.

Now what should you stay away from? Added sugars. Just get rid of regular soda, baked sweets (cookies, cake, pies, ext), candy, chips and just plan old sugar. Do this and you will be reducing food that tends to throw your blood sugar out of wack a cause your body to store fat.

I would also cation on eating to many carbs. Like everything eat carbs in moderation and you should be on your way to a healthier you.
