The new abs diet...part 3

Here are the other six power foods that you should include in your nutrition plan!

7. Turkey, fish, chicken and lean steak: These foods really help build your muscle because they are loaded with protein, iron, zinc and creatine. As an extra bonus, these meats tend to be very filling and require more calories to digest. Watch out for fatty forms of these meats like sausage, bacon and fatty cuts of meat like brisket.

8. Peanut butter (my fav!): This power food boosts testosterone, builds muscle and burns fat. It is full of protein, vitamin e and magnesium which fight against obesity, muscle loss and wrinkles. For the healthiest option avoid the high sugar and high trans fat peanut butters out there.

9. Olive oil: This power food lowers your cholesterol, boosts your immune system and is filled with vitamin E and healthy fats. It also helps fight obesity, cancer, heart disease and high blood pressure. Watch out for impostors like vegetable oil, trans fatty acids and margarine.

10. Whole grain breads and cereals: These foods prevent your body from storing fat. They are filled with fiber, zinc, iron and vitamin e. Whole grains help fight obesity, cancer, high blood pressure and heart disease. To be safe, stick to the whole wheat carbs, check the label on everything else very carefully.

11. Extra Protein Powder: This builds muscle and burns fat and of course is full of...you guessed it, protein! How is this a power food you ask? Well you really can't beat the muscle building, fat burning effects a protein smoothie has on the body. It's basically fat's kryptonite.

12. Berries: These guys protect your heart, enhance eyesight, improve balance and coordination and even help short term memory. They are filled with antioxidants, fiber and vitamin c which help fight heart disease, cancer and obesity. Don't confuse real berries with jellies or any berries that have added sugar, fresh is always your best option!

Well now that I've covered the basics of a healthy diet plan you can expect more fat burning, strength building workouts and exercise routines. Look for everything you need to know about your workout in my next post!
