What are you missing?

A lot of people want to focus on just a couple key muscle groups. Too many times I see guys come in, work out their chest and biceps and then leave thinking they have completed a really good workout. Girls seem to get some lunges in and maybe some arm work but again focus on only a few key muscles or "trouble spots."

Your body works as a unit, and like most things is only as strong as its weakest link. To have a strong upper body you need a strong core, if you want a big chest you need strong shoulders and triceps. A strong lower body requires a solid core and lower back. Everything one muscle group does ties into another group.

What I am saying is, don't just train one part of your body. Sure you can focus on certain muscles, but make sure to work everything else out even if you are just trying to shape up your butt and thighs.

Here are a couple tests that should help you figure out what you may need to work on.
