1. Injury Prevention: Strength training creates stronger muscle fibers, joints, ligaments and tendons. This improves your form making it less likely for you to injure yourself.
2. Increase Power: This increases the ability to run faster and more efficiently.Your muscles won't wear out as easily and you'll have an extra kick at the end to finish strong.
3. Increase Speed: The stronger your muscles the faster you can go which will make winning races easier.
4. Running Economy: By maximizing stride length, stride rate and running form you can focus your energy on increasing your speed and distance to be the best runner you can be.
